In When God Makes Lemonade, author Don Jacobson has collected real-life stories from around the world that show everyday folks discovering unexpected sweetness in the midst of sour circumstances. Some are funny, others are sobering, and more than a few will bring tears of amazement. But these true stories all have one thing in common: hope.
There's no question that life gives us "lemons," like issues with health, employment, and relationships. But when those lemons become lemonade, it's as refreshing as a cold drink on a hot summer day.
It's true that in life "stuff" happens, but as you'll see in these stories, Lemonade Happens too!

It is specifically dedicated to “single moms and their kids”, who according to the book needs “encouragement more than anyone”.
Similar to a cold cup of lemonade on a hot summer day, the book definitely is a refreshment to the soul. Several stories are indeed a testament to the reality of God in everyday people’s lives and it can serve as a reminder to each one of us that whatever situation we are in, we can get past them by the grace of God.
The book is like a compilation of different testimonies of God’s goodness. The diversity of experiences show how God can work in different ways, but as Romans 8:28 says, in the end, all things will work together for our good since we love God. (Posted on 4/25/2016)
