Since I have read several Bibles to my children this devotional is taking some of those stories an helping them apply the messages in a more personal way. The devotionals are short but can provide several minutes of discussion for a family. The deluxe version comes with CD's to listen to each devotional. I personally still prefer to read them with my children but I can totally use the CD's during play time for extra listening to them. This devotional is a great tool to pair with the Jesus Storybook Bible. (Posted on 10/12/2014)

Wow, Wow, Wow! I was once again blown away by this beautifully illustrated devotional. Don’t be misled by the word devotional. It is not your typical devotional. It is specifically geared toward the age group 6-10, written in easy to understand language with beautiful illustrations. As I turned the pages, I kept wishing that I would have had this book when my children were growing up. It would have made devotional time much easier. I think if you really want your children rooted in God’s word, as a parent you have to devote time to make that happen. However with our busy lifestyles it is not always easy to find time or devotionals that our children will understand. This book has taken out all the guess-work. I loved the narrated CD’s. I think even a toddler would enjoy and relate to them. These would be wonderful to play at bedtime….just to remind your child, God loves them and He is in control.
I would definitely recommend this book. This would make a fabulous birthday or Christmas gift, or what would be better than to receive this book for Thanksgiving? I think this book will make devotional time exciting!
Disclosure: I was given a copy of this Book by the publisher, ZonderKidz, for an honest review. I was not required to write a favorable review nor was I compensated for my review. The opinions in this review are my own.
