If you liked The Berenstain Bears' Country Cookbook, you're sure to enjoy the The Berenstain Bears' Holiday Cookbook. The Berenstain Bears' Holiday Cookbook is a hardcover cookbook that has fun, easy recipes that will be easy to create with the help of little "cubs".

For each of the six holidays (Valentine's Day, Easter, Fourth of July, "Fall Festivities"/Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) there are ideas for drinks, main dishes, desserts, & snacks. In addition to the cookbook aspect, The Berenstain Bears' Holiday Cookbook also has a small story that runs before each section of the book. (I must say that the story sections could have used a little bit more time in the editing department.)

Each of the 40 recipes in The Berenstain Bears' Holiday Cookbook has a large, full-color picture of the completed product on the page opposite the recipe.

The recipes are all very easy, but I must admit that I was hoping to find recipes from scratch (rather than using "ingredients" like a bag of microwave popcorn or a can of tomato soup). Even still, there are several recipes here I am looking forward to trying (especially the "Winter Sweet Potato Soup").

At the end of The Berenstain Bears' Holiday Cookbook you will find some basic kitchen conversions (tablespoons to cups, etc.).

I love when kids are encouraged to help out in the kitchen and adding in the lovable Berenstain bears characters only makes this more appealing for kids.

My kids all love to cook and bake with me. It's such a fun time of bonding with them and nothing is more fun than baking for the holidays! The Berenstain Bears Holiday Cookbook has plenty of kid friendly recipes to choose from for many holidays including my favorites: Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The table of contents is a fun, easy to use set up that even kids can read. I like that it's broken down by holiday so you can just go straight to the section you are looking for and the different colors make it easier to find.

Each holiday section begins with a Bible verse and then a little Berenstain Bears story. I love this! It takes these characters my kids already know and love and tells a story about the holiday tying in the Bible! What a great way to start off each section! It ends with a sweet little prayer. Then you get to dive into the fun recipes! I really look forward to making this a part of our existing holiday baking tradition! Whenever a season starts I plan to read these with my kids and then get to cooking!

After the introductions are the recipes! The left side has the name of the dish, what you need and the directions. I really like the way that the "what you need" and "directions" are separated to make it easier for early bakers! They can first gather what they need before they begin, instead of having it all blended in like most cookbooks. The numbered steps are also really helpful for kids who need it all layed out for them. The cute little bear images on the bottom just tie it all in to the Berenstain family.

On the page to the right of the recipe is an image of the completed goodie! If your kids are visual like mine, they will probably look through the book and pick something out based on the pictures rather than use the table of contents! A picture truly is worth a thousand words!

Holiday baking is a favorite tradition for my kids and I that I started when they were still in diapers! The Holiday Cookbook from The Berenstain Bears is a welcome addition to our tradition and will ad some extra fun and Biblical teaching to our tradition! (Posted on 8/23/2016)

COOKING FUN FOR ALL AGES! Seriously thought my kids got super excited looking at the pictures of the recipes but if I am honest as an adult I got excited for a few as well!

This recipe book has recipes for all major holidays: Valentines Day, Easter, Fourth of July, Fall Festivities, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

I also really like the last page that has kitchen measurements and conversions so there is no confusion.

If you are a Berenstain Bear fan then it is time to make some food creations from this book! The kids were ready to make some Easter creations in the middle of summer but I was able to get them excited for some of the fall recipes! (Posted on 8/20/2016)

“The Berenstain Bears’ Holiday Cookbook – Cub Friendly Cooking with An Adult” was sent to me free of charge, by Zonderkidz – a division of Zondervan Publishing – in exchange for my honest review.

It is written and illustrated by Mike Berenstain - the son of Stan and Jan Berenstain, who we all remember from our own childhoods, and those of our children. I remember reading them to my little boys, and when they started reading them to me. Now, there are new ones that I enjoy reading to my grandchildren… so exciting.

I am SO excited to start making these recipes, MYSELF…But, they are recipes that can be done with children. They are fun, for different holidays. He’s included Valentine’s Day, Easter, July 4th, Fall, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. My favorite is the CARROT CHIPS in Easter…can’t wait to make them! There are so many more! I like that Mike has written a devotion for each holiday, too. Oh! And, at the end, he’s included a table of kitchen measurements and metric conversions.

I LOVE this and would recommend it as a fun tool to spend special time with your kids and grandkids!! REALLY FUN!!

The Berenstain Bears' Holiday Cookbook is a great tool to use to start teaching children to cook. I like that the cookbook is divided into holiday and seasonal dishes, beginning with Valentine's Day and ending with Christmas. Each section is color-coded and begins with a Bible verse and a fun conversation between the Bears. The food in the pictures look appetizing and will encourage children to try their hand at cooking. Some of the recipes are super simple, while others will challenge a child who wants to learn more about food prep. Reading and following the recipes will help kids learn to follow directions, practice math skills, and gain confidence. This would be a great book to enjoy as a family. I received this book in exchange for a fair review. (Posted on 8/17/2016)

We love them Berenstain Bears so much. They are a great family that teaches awesome character values to children. Not to mention that there movies are very family friendly. They are an instant classic! What I have seen the of the cookbooks that are some of Mike Berenstain's latest additions, they are so sweet and my boys fight each other over them. They can't wait to try the recipes out.

Each of the recipes will require adult supervision and some of the more difficult ones will require more help from the adult rather than just supervising. I love the pictures of each of the recipes. There are some really delicious looking recipes to try such as the Sweetheart Chocolate Cake and the Easter Bunny Shakes. There are several holidays covered in this cookbook and each section of recipes is split up according to what holiday it falls under. There are 6 different ones covered. Valentine's Day, Easter, Fourth of July, Fall Festivities, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Each section is headed off by commentary from the bear family and scripture. This book would make a perfect gift for any fan of The Berenstain Bears.

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author. (Posted on 8/6/2016)
