This Bible story book contains sixteen favorite stories with nice pictures for toddlers and children to listen to. This would also be appropriate for an early reader to enjoy. I like how each story adds a, “Thank You God for…” having to do with each story. One such praise is, “Thank You God for beautiful rainbows!” added after the story of “Noah’s Ark”.
I recommend this Bible story book.

The illustrations are colorful with bright colors. I think they have a modern feel and look to them and I enjoyed the images.
I like how this "Bible" has a Bible story and then has something to give thanks for that relates to the child and the Bible story. That said, I feel like some of them were stretched a little far and not as accurate as I would want my child to use. For example, the story of Solomon says "Solomon asked for wisdom so he would know right from wrong." Then it says to give thanks to God "for teaching me right from wrong." While I understand where this is coming from, especially with the age group this book is geared towards, I think there is a big difference between wisdom and just knowing right from wrong. I'm just not sure some of the stories they chose for this are the best examples to use.
All that said, I like the concept of this Bible and I found the illustrations to be colorful and modern.

In preparation for that it has long been our custom to begin talking with our littles about what Thanksgiving is all about. We read several books aloud about the history of Thanksgiving so that they will understand why we are celebrating. Through all of this we focus on the One we are giving thanks to.
This year we are adding in the My Give Thanks Bible. It has sixteen very simple stories that all point to God and the provision he has made for each of us. For instance the section entitled Food for Five Thousand is taken from John 6:1-14 and it says:
"One day, Jesus was speaking to a crowd of people. They were all very hungry. Jesus blessed five loaves of bread and two fish and shared it with the crowd. Through God's grace, that little bit of food fed more than five thousand people. It was a miracle!"
Then it has a little graphic that says Give Thanks and the following: "Thank you, god, for giving me what I need!" That is the exact message that I want our little ones to retain. From even before the pilgrims until this exact moment all we have has been given to us by our gracious God. He not only has provided shelter, clothing and food but He provided a Savior that we might live eternally.
If you are looking for a way to focus on being thankful with your little ones this is a great book. It is short and sweet so their attention spans won't be tried but it still presses in the truth of Scripture.

Beginning with Genesis 1 and ending with Jesus going to heaven, this small board book Bible is geared toward ages 4-8 years old. Younger children can be read to while it is simple enough for the older age group. After each small 2-3 sentence lesson based on scripture and illustrated is a simple prayer for each child to pray.
This sweet book is a great gift and with thick board like pages is great for those sweet, precious hands of a child!

The My Give Thanks Bible was an instant hit with him. It must have been the bright, colorful cover with happy characters that grabbed his attention because he instantly took it and sat down to look through it. It has the nice soft cover and rounded corners that are perfect for toddlers to handle with thick cardboard pages for easy turning.
This book goes through the most popular Bible stories that people are usually familiar with. Each story has a title, the reference of the verse(s) in the Bible where it's found and a short recap of the story. What sets this book apart from others is the "give thanks" aspect of it. At the end of each story it says "give thanks" and then says what we can be thankful for in relation to the story.
For example, "In a Den of Lions" found in Daniel says "Thank you, God, for keeping me safe!" This is a great one for little ones especially who have fear as a daily part of their lives. They need to be reminded that God is watching over them, always taking care of them.
I like that this book focuses on giving thanks with Thanksgiving just around the corner. It's a great reminder for our little ones to always give thanks to God for the things he does for us daily. My Give Thanks Bible is a new favorite for both the toddler and I!
