The NIrV “Minecrafters Bible” was sent to me by Zonderkidz - a division of Zondervan Publishing – free of charge, in exchange for my honest review.
“The Minecrafters Bible” uses the New International Reader’s Version. It has a dictionary in the back…along with an index of 92 “Great Bible Stories’. I also like that, scattered throughout are 24 full-color illustrations, done by Hannah Weinstein. Each one has a, “What to Read” section, which is a few verses to read and study. There is also a, “What to Do” section, which includes an activity. An example…make you own Tabernacle. Another one…
Build an animal pen with sheep. These are all part of a journey/game to encourage reading and studying of the Word.

I like this and would recommend it.

Kids getting too much screen time? I know with computers, phones, tablets kids and adults are attracted to those items. Anyone have a boy or girl into Minecraft? Then here is your next Bible to get for your child. This is a full NIrV Bible but it has lots of fun colored pictures of Minecraft that helps retell the story on the page.

Now with the fun cover and the pictures I hope it will get your child to open it up and read God's word. Keep being a good example for your child and open your Bible up and read together! Do devotions together so you each can be learning more and more each day.

This book retails for $24.99 on Zondervan. Thanks Zondervan for sending me a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed here are my own and I was not paid for this review. (Posted on 6/17/2016)

My older kids are both obsessed with Minecraft and the two year old is well on his way! I’ll admit, I don’t understand the game at all. What I do know is that it encourages creativity and design and a lot of imagination! When I got the new Minecrafters Bible, my biggest problem was which kid to give it to!

The hardcover features a pixelated Minecraft looking David and Goliath. My kids were both delighted and thought it was the coolest thing ever when they saw it. I decided to tell them it was a family Bible that anyone could use and they both have been all over it!

I have seen a lot of Bibles and I have to say this one is the best as far as attention to detail goes! Right from the get go it goes into the Minecraft world on the “How to use this Bible” page. It makes it sound like the Bible is a wonderful Minecraft world for them to explore. I don’t know a lot about the game but I know enough to know that my kids would be familiar with the terms wood, iron, gold etc.

Another really cool thing is that a lot of the full color pages that tell the story and have pixelated pictures are about building things, just like Minecraft. For example, creation of the world, the Tower of Babel and the ark. We started going through all the colored pages and stories as our family devotions at night because it was something they could relate to and included the Bible verses to read with the story which they take turns looking up.

Outside of those pages, it’s mostly just a regular Bible in the NIrV version, which is my current favorite for my kids. It has nice, big text for them to read. I do wish there were more Minecraft features like having the writing be green and brown and pixelated on the titles and books of the Bible. It just feels like it needs a little something more. The Minecraft pages are so well done that the rest pales in comparison.

The Minecrafters Bible is a hit in my house and while I wish there were more to it; it’s the Bible that have gotten my kids reading the most so that makes it my favorite! (Posted on 6/15/2016)

This is a really cute Bible. Especially if you have a child that enjoys playing the popular game of Minecraft. It's a basic Bible in the easy to understand NIrV for your early readers to use. It includes 24 full color pages throughout the Bible all done in the popular block shaped images.

There is really not a whole lot to say about this Bible as it is just a simple Bible. There isn't any red letters in the New Testament so if that is something you want in your child's Bible then you need to know this. My youngest daughter loves the illustrations since she is a huge fan of the game of Minecraft.

It's a cute Bible for both girls and boys and if you have a child that doesn't have a Bible and loves virtual world building games then this would be a good choice of Bible. (Posted on 6/6/2016)

If you have a Minecrafter in your midst you need this Bible! I must admit that when my grandson first introduced me to Minecraft I just didn't get the appeal of the squared-off pixelated characters. Then I got my hands on a copy of the NIrV Minecrafters Bible and a lightbulb went on!

I love finding creative ways to pour the Bible into my kids and grands. Who knew a video game could be used for that? To me the Minecrafters Bible is the ultimate accessory for this game. To help get you started using the Bible in conjuction with the game there are twenty-two full color pages with Scripture passages to read and suggested things to do. After your kiddo has gone through those there's an even longer list of great Bible stories at the very back of the book.

My daughter has been using the Minecrafters Bible each morning by reading a particular story with my grandson and then allowing him some extended time to recreate that day's story. It's been such a delight to see him continually refer back to the Bible as he adds details to his world.

If you are a homeschooling family this would be a wonderful addition to your Bible curriculum. I can also see it being used in youth groups on special event nights. My grandson's friends already get together informally to play Minecraft so I think it would be an easy way to engage the culture while instilling truth in the lives of the next generation.

I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review. (Posted on 6/3/2016)

Well with each passing day the computer age continues to advance. My children are better at computers and smart phones that I am. I just hand it over to them and they teach their mamma a thing or two. They are my heroes! Many times they have gotten me out of a conundrum with my phone or computer. Minecraft is one of those games that children enjoy and now Zonderkidz has stepped up to the plate with their very own Bible that caters to the Minecraft population.

The features of this Bible are very unique. They begin with pictures featuring Minecraft type displays that look really well done along with scripture to describe the picture. There is a dictionary in the back of the Bible and a list of great Bible story references. This version of the Bible is the New International Readers Version. The age group for this Bible is 6-10 years of age. This Bible makes a great gift for gamers and fans of Minecraft.
