This is a devotional for, I’d say, a middle schooler. It is designed by Cindy Davis and Kait Lamphere. Of course, it comes out right in time for the release of the new “Star Wars” movie, so the name is perfect :-D The devotions are only a page each…short enough for a short time with Jesus each day. Each day starts with a Scripture reading. “Master Moment” is next, and is just a sentence or two that gives the main idea of the devotion. “Ways of Wisdom” tells a story about the Scripture in a short paragraph devotion. And last, is a short prayer.
I believe this is a good devotion to get started in having a daily personal time with Jesus. I would recommend it.

One of the habits that we encourage in our home is daily devotions. Each year I try to find new ones that will pique the interest of the intended recipient. May The Faith Be With You has my grandson's name written all over it.
I find the whole retro look of the book very appealing. It definitely reflects the time period of the first Star Wars movie. If you were around back then think about what hardback books were like. Remember the glossy cover and the newsprint type of pages? That's just what this book is like. It may be lost on the current generation but I found it fun.
Each day's reading has four different sections. The first is the daily Scripture reference. It is short and sweet but you are encouraged at the beginning of the book to also read the verses around it. (I always say to read the whole chapter to get context!)
The second section is entitled Master Moment. This is the devotion itself. The words encapsulate what the main point of the Scripture message was. The third section is called Ways Of Wisdom. This portion gives a little bit more information about the given Scripture.
The final section is called Use The Force. It is like a jumping off point for your closing prayer. I like how it gets the reader started but also allows them to continue on with their prayer time.
The Scripture contained is from the NIrV which is written on a 3rd grade reading level. Perfect for the 8-12 year old!

The devotions aren't very long at all and they get right to the point. I really appreciate the larger print that this devotional has to offer. Not only does it have the larger print, but the page is separated out in an easy to read and study format.
Like the above picture, each page is broke into four sections:
2. Master Moment
3. Ways of Wisdom
4. Use the Force
It's recommended for ages 8-12, but both my five-year old and eight-year old enjoy studies from this book. The devotions are the perfect length to really keep their attention. I also really like that in the back, there is a Find Your Favorite Verse section. My eight-year old has many favorites and this has come in handy.
All in all we have been very pleased with this daily devotional and would highly recommend it to anyone that has a little Star Wars fan! (Posted on 12/15/2015)

Each page is one devotional which includes scripture, master moment, ways of wisdom, use the force- which is a prayer. Each one only takes a couple minutes to read and they are easy to understand for younger readers.
I hope that kids will look at this book and realize that doing devos doesn't take too long and can be fun! It sure is going to encourage each reader to live a life following Jesus' footsteps. (Posted on 12/9/2015)

It is so fitting for Zonderkidz to come out with a devotional for our kiddos based on a star wars type theme. This really appeals to kids and they love the fact it's not a boring old book. This is something that will make them eager to learn and it gives them greater knowledge of the Bible in only minutes per day. It is good for 180 days and is geared specifically for ages 6-10.
It has several key features that make it even better all around. The features are scripture, master moment, ways of wisdom, and use the force. And like with all devotionals this one is very flexible and the author explains how to use it, as well.
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author. (Posted on 11/17/2015)

This devotional is designed for 8 - 12 year olds so I knew my son Reed would love it. I would say it's for boys but my daughter is a Star Wars fan too so I won't be that sexist!
I thought the cover was adorable and loved that it was hardback but was a bit disappointed in the pages. They seem like a cheap feeling paper in comparison. Now maybe this is some Star Wars reference that I'm missing but I've seen all the movies and can't think what that would have to do with it.
Aside from the texture of the paper, the design and layout is as cute as the cover. I like all the Star Wars references like the sub headings on each page of "Master Moment," "Ways of Wisdom" and "Use the Force." It's a really cute tie in to use. The edges of every page also look like you are in space so that was a nice touch.
The devotions are short and sweet at a page each which is great for my 6 and 7 year olds but think it may need a little more depth for those at the end of the recommended age group closer to 12.
My kids enjoy it and really get a kick out of the Star Wars references, especially when it comes to "Use the Force." If you have a Star Wars fan in your house they will truly appreciate May the Faith be with you!
