There are 35 different stories that are spread equally over the Old and New Testaments. All the stories focus on God's love and provision for His people. I enjoy Julie Stiegemeyer's words as she simplifies the story for a young audience but still remains true to the original Scripture passage. Qin Leng's illustrations are just beautiful. She uses vibrant colors and simple illustrations that pair well with Julie's words.
One of the things that I like most about this particular book is that each story also includes the Scripture reference for where the story is located. This is especially helpful for our new approach to Family Bible Study. We read the book portion to the little ones but the older ones can look up and read the passages in their own Bibles.
If you're looking for a new storybook Bible for your little one I would recommend checking this one out. I think your family will enjoy it again and again.
I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review. (Posted on 10/27/2016)

It has a harder cover that makes it more durable for the younger toddlers to hold. The pages are thin, not like a board book, but with a shiny finish and texture that make them slightly thicker than average and easier to turn.
My older kids can read these to my youngest as the stories are short enough for all of their attention spans. They begin with the Bible reference and then tell the story, each a couple pages long. There is more depth to it than a toddler book but thats what makes it great for older kids too.
The illustrations are classic looking and my toddler really enjoys flipping through and just looking at the pictures on his own.
My favorite feature was at the end of each story is a statement that sums it all up and is easy for kids to remember. It then provides the opportunity to discuss the statement since that closure helps kids apply it to their own lives.
It's a good variety of stories from both Old and New Testaments. God's Little Lambs Bible Stories is great for a family with kids of all ages to enjoy. (Posted on 9/28/2016)

“God’s Little Lambs” is a children’s Christian picture book, written by Julie Stiegemeyer. It’s illustrations were done by Qin Leng.
This book includes several well-known stories from both the Old and New Testaments. Each story is preceded by Scripture references. The stories are only a few pages, so they are very manageable. They are also short enough to keep a toddler’s attention.
I’d recommend this for early readers and those who read to them.

Usually you just see Bible storybooks with a few stories from either the Old or New Testaments but in this sweet book you get several from both. Your child will learn about Jonah along with Jesus on Palm Sunday. God's Little Lambs: Bible Stories gives your child a small summary of the Bible in one little book. With sweet, soft, muted illustrations that go along great with the stories.
