You know the story of the Bible, but do you know what it means? This kids’ edition of Believe teaches you the core beliefs, practices, and virtues of Jesus-followers so that you can understand how to live out God’s story in your own life today.
As you walk through the three big categories—beliefs, practices, and virtues—you’ll begin a journey that will take you closer to the heart of Jesus and deeper into the words of Scripture. You’ll learn what the Bible has to say about everything from the nature of God and the identity of Jesus, to prayer, worship, and the fruit of the Spirit. Each big category is divided into ten topics to give you an up-close look at the important things God wants you to know.
From bestselling author and pastor, Randy Frazee, the Believe: Kids’ Edition will take you on a step-by-step tour through the Bible and show you how to think, act, and be more like Jesus.

How did Josiah become such a king? It was because he read the Word of God and he followed it. Isn't that what we want for each of our children, to become well versed in Scripture and to follow the precepts it contains? Believe: Kids' Edition is the perfect start for that lifelong journey.
The book breaks the process down into three sections, THINK: What Do I Believe?, ACT: What Should I Do?, and BE: Who Am I Becoming? Each of these sections use the NIrV edition of the Bible which is designed for a third grade reading level. There are thirty chapters that also correspond with the adult and student editions of this book making it a great tool for weeks of family devotions.
I was very pleased with this simplified version of Believe. I say simplified meaning vocabulary not content. Randy Frazee has been thorough in his covering of the main concepts of Scripture. The discussion questions are a nice touch to make it interactive rather than just a one way teaching from parent to child. Our family was blessed by this resource and I think yours will be too.

3 big topics that are divided into 10 chapters each focusing on that big topic.
The big topics are: What do I believe? What Should I do? Who am I becoming?
Within the chapters you will get the following:
The Keys: Key Question, Key Idea, & Key Verse
Think About It
The book is also written in a way you as a parent can go through the book with your child, if you have an older child they can read it and discuss it with you on their own. There are pictures in the book however none of them are disturbing, everything is very clean.
Overall, I really liked this book; I feel it’s a great book to use to explore deeper within the Bible with a child on their level, something as a parent you can do alongside your child and help them figure it out along the way. I love that its set up as a study type book so you can take your time and really dig in if you want to. I highly suggest this book for parents with tweens, however I would say it fits better around the age of 10; the book would also be good for a church group study, or home group study. The author did a great job laying it out in an understandable way and keeping things to the point while still digging in.

This series can do just that! The introduction in the front of the book can help you greatly, it explains how the book is to be used. The parent is suppose to read each chapter to the child or an older child can do it independently. Then there are discussion added to the end for you and your child to discuss what was read. Each chapter is based on a key verse, key idea, and key question. There are also some simple illustrations that help bring each lesson to life. Geared for ages 8 and up. Perfect for anyone wanting to expand on their children's knowledge of the Bible and why we believe what we believe.
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review through my participation on the Z Blog Squad.

There are still some pictures scattered throughout the story but this book is a chapter book for good readers. I truly think the younger readers will still need assistance from a parent to discuss some of the mature material and for them to relate it to their personal lives.
There are three main sections that answer these three questions: What do I believe? What should I do? and Who am I becoming? Each question has several chapters that discuss important biblical topics.
Each chapter will also include a key question, key idea, key verse, think about it, and discussion questions. This book could be used as a great study for tween aged kids or younger depending on maturity level.
