The rhyming text in 7 Days of Awesome feels Dr. Seuss-ish. It is very fun to read and the colorful pictures are great, too.
I have read many children's books about creation, and I feel like 7 Days of Awesome is definitely one of the most (if not the most) entertaining. I'll definitely be reading this one with my kids again and again. Five stars, for sure!

A very sweet, tenderhearted book appropriate for ages 4-8. Such a sweet loving book that explores not only the world around them but also the creation of 'them". I loved the rhyming pattern on this one. Very funny and precious all at one time. Definitely awesome overload!

The pictures are delightful as well as the retelling of creation. Make sure you add this one to your library so your little ones can beg you to read it over and over again which will be a win win as they will remember the events of creation!

I think it's tricky to make any Bible story humorous while keeping it authentic and respectful and Shawn Byous does an outstanding job of both. I love that everything rhymes. It makes it whimsical and easy to follow along. I've noticed that my early readers in first and second grade really like things that rhyme when they are reading outloud.
My toddler really enjoys this story as well and since he's just learning to talk, he liked to point out the picture of all the things he knew in the wonderful illustrations by Colin Jack.
This book has been likened to the style of Dr. Seuss and I definitely agree with that. It has that whimsy and style to it. While the illustrations aren't so Seuss like, the writing style definitely is.
The only downside is the price. I don't like when books are overpriced. Reading should be affordable for everyone and this one is a little steep!
The story of creation has been told over and over in many different ways but 7 Days of Awesome is a truly unique version that kids and parents will love. (Posted on 3/3/2016)

While most of us are familiar with Genesis 1, this is the only one I have ran across that rhymes it's way through the 7 days of creation. Rhyming is a great way to remember facts, and this book takes the cake. My five-year old loved this book so much, we read it three times straight. I can't blame him really. I have to say that I had a blast reading it.
Not only is this book fun to read, but the illustrations are pretty awesome too!
Highly recommend this book for all ages!!
